Moroccan Spice Mix is a combination of easy-to-find spices that come together to make a versatile spice blend, which you can use to bring a taste of Morocco to everything from proteins to rice and vegetables.

Some of my favourite ways to use this Moroccan seasoning are to make it into a spice paste using things like olive oil and lemon juice, then slather it on chicken thighs to make a delicious chicken couscous recipe, to elevate plain white rice into flavourful Moroccan rice, or to use budget lamb mince to make Moroccan-inspired lamb burgers!
You can also easily adapt this homemade Moroccan spice blend to suit your taste, unlike a store-bought Moroccan spice mix. I also purposely left out salt (which is often the biggest ingredient in the store-bought versions), which means we are adding flavour from the spices with no extra salt.

- Mix again before using after storage.
- If you are storing this blend of Moroccan spices for later use, pop in a silica sachet (from a vitamin container, so it's food-safe) to absorb moisture.
- Removing the sprinkle cap (if possible) from your spice jars makes it easier to measure.
Storage
Store this Moroccan spice mix in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from direct light.
The storage time of the spice blend will depend on the expiry dates of the spices that are used.
