How to make lamb rub
- Place the spices into a small bowl.
- Give them a good mix then use or store.
Storage
Store in an airtight container away from sunlight.
Should keep for up to 6 months - depending on the expiry date of the individual ingredients used.
Top tips for the best result
- If you are going to make a larger quantity and store it for later use, I like to pop in a silica sachet (from a vitamin container so it's food-safe) for extra insurance against moisture.
- Give it a mix before using it.
- To help keep your dried spices in general (like garlic powder) from clumping and going hard, I remove the plastic sprinkle insert and add a little silica sachet directly into the jar.
- I also insert the peel-off foil from the top of the jar into the lid before I reclose it - this gives a better seal - thanks, Mum!
