Moroccan Spice Mix

This Moroccan spice mix uses easy-to-find spices to make a versatile Moroccan-style seasoning that can be used with everything from proteins to rice and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 3 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 3 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
    3 teaspoons ground cumin, 3 teaspoons ground coriander, 3 teaspoons sweet paprika, ½ teaspoon ground cloves, ¼ teaspoon ground ginger, ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric, ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Place in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Notes

  • Makes approximately ¼ cup.
  • I recommend using 2 teaspoons of this spice blend per 500g/approximately 1 lb of meat.
  • Mix well before using after storage.
  • If you are storing it for later use, place a small silica sachet in the jar (from a vitamin container, so it's food-safe) to absorb moisture and keep the mix dry.
  • Removing the sprinkle cap (if it's removable) from your spice jars makes measuring easier.
