Caramilk White Christmas Slice - a traditional Christmas classic with fruit, nuts, coconut & puffed rice but using Caramilk chocolate in place of the usual white chocolate.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...time to pull out my White Christmas Slice recipe. A true Christmas classic, this slice is made with puffed rice (rice bubbles), sultanas, glace cherries, almonds and coconut. But what about the traditional white chocolate? This is no ordinary white Christmas recipe, I have used an extra special ingredient. The hint's in the title...
Caramilk chocolate! Loving this product that's making an appearance back in Australia again! Basically, it's white chocolate but with a caramelized flavour (and no - I'm not getting paid by Cadbury!).

How to make white Christmas slice
- Break Caramilk chocolate into squares and place in a microwave safe bowl.
- Melt chocolate in the microwave in short 30 second bursts, mixing between each burst.
- Add rice bubbles, sultanas, chopped glace cherries, roughly chopped slivered almonds and coconut to the same bowl.
- Mix well to combine.
- Grease and line a baking tin, leaving paper overhanging the sides for easy removal.
- Add chocolate mixture to the tin, pressing firmly and spreading it into the corners. Place into the fridge to set, then slice.
My top tips for making this Caramilk Christmas slice
- Caramilk chocolate not available where you live? You could use white chocolate, plus add ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence to the mix.
- The baking tin I used is 18cm (7 ¼") square (base measurement) - my slice came out approx 2cm (1 ¾") thick. The great thing about a no bake slice like this is that the "baking tin" (see next point) can vary in size without having to change cooking times etc. Your slice will just be thicker or thinner.
- The reason I have used quotation marks for "baking tin" is that being no bake, it doesn't need to be a tin! If you have something else that's the right size like a Tupperware container etc you can use that.
- Even though we aren't baking this slice, I still recommend greasing and lining the tin or container you use. This will help you get the slice out once it's cold.

Pardon my stupidity, but what are sultanas? This looks delicious and I can't wait to try it!
Hi Wendy! Stupidity free zone here! Sultanas are a form of dried fruit. They are a golden colour and are about the size of m & m (that’s me trying to think of something universal ha). They are actually dried grapes - but they aren’t “dry” as such, they are quite soft and moist. This link may help explain https://www.thekitchn.com/whats-the-difference-between-raisins-sultanas-and-currants-223285 hope this helps! L x
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the fast reply and for your help on this. I will look for them 😊
