Top tips for the best result
- Once your baked goods have come out of the oven, let them cool before drizzling with this glaze.
- If you would like more of a thick frosting this recipe is more suitable.
- The cream cheese needs to be at room temperature otherwise you will have lumps in your finished glaze.
Variation ideas
- A splash of maple syrup.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon.
- Use vanilla bean paste instead of extract to get those fancy little specs of vanilla bean through the glaze.
What to use it on
- I like to drizzle this glaze on muffins, and then sometimes I add sprinkles for a fun twist.
- Also great on things like these cinnamon scones.
- Just about any type of cake.
- The tangy cream cheese taste matches well with carrot cake.
- Cinnamon rolls or scrolls.
