    Sour Cream Sauce is a quick and simple no-cook sauce that you will be drizzling on everything from Mexican food like enchiladas and tacos to roast potatoes.

    With only a handful of easy-to-find ingredients, this homemade sour cream sauce comes together in minutes using sour cream, fresh chives, pantry spices and a splash of milk.

    With a similar taste to seasoned sour cream but not as thick, this creamy sauce has a thinner consistency which makes it perfect for pouring or dipping.

    1. Whisk together sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, chives and salt.
    2. Add the milk gradually until you reach your desired consistency.

    It's so easy to make sour cream sauce at home. All you need is sour cream, fresh chives, a few common pantry spices and a splash of milk.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup sour cream I used low fat
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives plus extra for garnish
    • ¼ teaspoon fine salt
    • 2 - 3 tablespoons milk (as needed) see my notes

    • In a small bowl, combine sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, chives and salt.
      1 cup sour cream

      1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives

    • Stir well to incorporate.
    • Add milk gradually until you reach your desired consistency.
