How to make Oreo fudge
- Roughly chop the Oreos.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a medium sized microwave-safe bowl.
- Break the white chocolate into squares then add to the bowl.
- Microwave in 30 second bursts (mixing between each burst) until melted and smooth.
- Add the chopped Oreos to the white chocolate mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour fudge mixture into prepared pan and place in the fridge to set.
Top tips for making Oreo fudge
- I chop the Oreos with a knife, but you could pop them into a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin if you like too. This way you will end up with smaller pieces of cookie throughout the fudge.
- Even though we aren't baking this dessert, it's still best to grease the pan with butter and line with parchment paper. This will help you get the fudge out of the pan or baking dish once it's set.
- Reserve some of the chopped Oreos to sprinkle over the top of the fudge at the end if you like.
- The size of the container you set the fudge in can vary from what I have used, you will just have a thicker or thinner layer of fudge.
Stovetop directions
- Instead of placing the sweetened condensed milk into a bowl, add it to a saucepan along with the broken up white chocolate
- Stir over low heat to melt together. Once mixture is melted and smooth then proceed with the recipe as written.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Variations
- Just name your favourite variety of Oreo and go for it! I'm thinking red velvet, peanut butter or golden Oreos!
- Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract for some extra flavour if you like.
