    This Mint Yogurt Sauce recipe is bright and refreshing, delicious as a creamy dipping sauce or salad dressing that pairs beautifully with so many different dishes.

    How to make mint yogurt sauce

    1. To a bowl, add lemon juice, garlic and cumin then mix well to combine.
    2. Then add yogurt, chopped mint, salt and pepper.

    Top tips for the best result

    • For recipes like this one where the garlic will be raw, I split the garlic clove down the middle and take out the core that runs through the centre. The sharp, onion-like taste of the core is mellowed with cooking, so I remove it for a smoother flavour.

    Mint yogurt sauce can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 small garlic clove core removed (see my notes) and crushed
    • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 cup Greek yogurt low-fat or full-fat
    • 1 cup fresh mint leaves (loosely packed) finely chopped
    • cooking salt to taste
    • fresh black pepper to taste

    • Add lemon juice, garlic and cumin to a bowl then stir to combine.
