Delicious and creamy peanut butter fudge with no cooking - not even the microwave let alone a candy thermometer!
So...2 ingredient peanut butter fudge that I don't even need the microwave for...sounds too good to be true?
Hey, I was skeptical at first too!
But I can report back that it totally works and it's awesome!!! Plus it only took 2 minutes. That's right. 2. Minutes.
Peanut butter + vanilla frosting x stir = peanut butter fudge.
Most recipes for this kind of 2 ingredient fudge recipe call for you to melt the peanut butter a little in the microwave prior to mixing, but I found that you don't even need to do that!

Why you will love this 2 ingredient peanut butter fudge recipe
- The ultimate easy fudge recipe for the kids to make - no cooking at all!
- Pantry (shelf-stable) ingredients for that fudge related emergency!
- Amazing peanut butter flavour!
What you need to make this recipe
- a jar of peanut butter (smooth and creamy) - at room temperature
- a container of premade vanilla frosting - at room temperature
*Please see the recipe card below for exact quantities and detailed instructions
How to make 2 ingredient peanut butter fudge
- Put the peanut butter and vanilla frosting together in a bowl.
- Mix together to combine - the mixture will start out soft.
- As you continue to mix it will get firmer, and the texture will change. It will look and feel like play dough (Play-Doh)!
- Press the fudge mixture into a greased and lined pan, flatten with a silicone spatula and place in the fridge to firm up.
Top tips
- As long as both of your ingredients for this fudge are at room temperature (both are shelf-stable so are in your pantry anyway) then there is no need to microwave the peanut butter. It will all mix together just fine.
- Honestly, this fudge can be eaten pretty much straight away as soon as it's mixed. You will literally see it firm up as you mix it. The texture will get firmer though after it's chilled in the refrigerator.
- I found smooth peanut butter works best for this recipe rather than the crunchy kind.
- The size of the container you choose to set the fudge in can vary from what I have used, it will just turn out a bit thicker or thinner. A baking pan or a loaf pan are both good ideas, plus you could also use a plastic container to set it in too.
- Greasing and lining the pan with parchment paper is still important for this recipe even though it's a no bake dessert. This will help you get the fudge out of the pan or baking dish once it's set.
- I recommend lining your pan with parchment or baking paper because it's stronger than foil and less likely to tear.
2 ingredient peanut butter fudge variations
- Fancy up this delicious fudge a bit by adding some sprinkles, chocolate chips or chopped nuts on top.
- Change up the flavour by using chocolate frosting.
Get the kids involved
An awesome idea for the kids to do would be to press the mixed up fudge into silicone ice cube molds (think fun shapes like hearts maybe) or cookie cutters.
The mixed fudge has a pliable texture like play dough (Play-Doh) but edible - so much fun!
Then they can just get flip over the molds and pop them out when they are set from the fridge.
No need to grease or even get out a sharp knife to cut the fudge in pieces!
Can I freeze this fudge
Yes.
Storage
Keep this fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 to 3 weeks - if it lasts that long.

Can you use softened
Cream cheese in place of
The frosting?
And, could you use canned
Pumpkin with the peanut butter and cream cjeese?
Hi Cass! Unfortunately, no - cream cheese wouldn't work in place of the frosting in this recipe. Hope this helps, L x
