Shawarma Sauce Recipe

Shawarma sauce is a creamy, garlicky, greek yogurt-based sauce that is the perfect addition to make your next shawarma extra delicious!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup greek yogurt I used low fat
  • ¼ cup sour cream I used low fat
  • 3 teaspoon tahini
  • 1 garlic clove core removed and crushed
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt to taste

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients (except for salt) in a bowl.
    ¾ cup greek yogurt, ¼ cup sour cream, 3 teaspoon tahini, 1 garlic clove, ½ teaspoon ground cumin, 2 teaspoon finely chopped mint leaves, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Mix well and add salt to taste.
    ¼ teaspoon salt

Notes

  • I have added sour cream in this recipe for richness. You could replace it with more greek plain yogurt if you like.
