Honey Sriracha Sauce

Honey Sriracha Sauce is a combination of hot sriracha and sweet honey giving you a perfectly balanced hot and spicy but sweet dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • cup honey
  • 4 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed/minced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a small saucepan over low heat and fry garlic for about a minute or until fragrant (but not coloured).

  • Add honey, sriracha and soy sauce then mix together and bring to a simmer.
    ⅔ cup honey, 4 tablespoon sriracha sauce, 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Continue to simmer over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes, or until sauce thickens slightly, then remove from heat.
  • Stir in lemon juice and serve.

Notes

  • Gently fry the garlic over low heat.
  • If you are worried about the level of spice in this sauce, start with half the amount of sriracha and build up from there until you reach your desired spice level.
  • The consistency of this sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.
